A Berkshire Bonanza - Nancy and Nate at Elm Court Estate in Lenox

Here's the scene.  I'm at Sofra talking with my buddy Laura from Boston Beauty Blog about how she can expand her biz to brides.  We are deep in conversation when this really beautiful and stylish young woman taps me on the shoulder, she is sitting next to us.   She introduces herself to me.  Her name is Nancy. Nancy:  Hi, I'm sorry to interupt you guys but are you a wedding photographer?

Me:  Yup I most certainly am.

Nancy:  Awesome, I just got engaged.  Do you have a card.

Fast forward to our meeting and I'm dying inside as I hear every amazing detail about their wedding day.  It's at an estate in the Berkshires.  An all weekend event complete with a lamb roast rehersal dinner?  Not to mention the fact that both Nancy and Nate were beyond fun, madly in love and knew how to party!   My kind of couple.  My kind of wedding.  They chose me and the rest, as they say, is history.

Nancy and Nate were married on September 29th 2012 at the Elm Court Estate in Lenox, Massachusetts.  Although it rained quite a bit, their wedding day was gray and rain free.  But it was perfect for photographing Nancy in her vibrant red wedding dress, created by Harper Della-Piana,owner of Seams Couture.  The couple had The Elm Court for the entire weekend.  Nate, who is Polish, made sure that there was authentic Polish food and drink from start to finish.  There was Vodka everywhere, and it was unbelievable.

Nancy and Nate were friends for years before they fell in love.  But I think Nancy always loved him and knew Nate was the guy for her.  Nate adores everything about Nancy, and come on...how can you not?  If you knew her, you would understand what I'm talking about.  Nate proposed almost immediately because after knowing one another...well, as my son would say, "Mama, if you know, then you know."  Cool fact.  In the years and a half that I have known them, Nancy and Nate are the proud owners of "The Shuckin Truck".  It's a raw bar/seafood food truck.  If you see them, stop by and say hi for me.

Here are many photos from their kick ass wedding extravaganza at The Elm Court Estate in Lenox, MA.

Vendors not listed in the post above:  Flowers: Flowers by Pesha, Cake artist: Sweet Expressions, Caterer: Cuisine Chez Vous, Hair: Hair Sessions,

I also want to give a big shout out to my friend Tricia McCormack for helping me as my 2nd shooter that day.  Couldn't have done it without her!

Many of the guests stayed at the Estate with Nate and Nancy.  So basically the wedding started waaay before it was supposed to.  Coffee and a kickball game is totally the way to go if you ask me.
