Life's A Beach - Jon and Kaitlyn's Wychmere Beach Club Wedding

Kaitlyn and Jon were married on September 18^th, with a ceremony and reception at the Wychmere Beach Club on Cape Cod.

Kaitlyn and Jon were high school sweethearts and just kind of knew they would be together forever. They love good food, especially oysters on the half shell, and Jon and I have a little bit of a wristwatch obsession—so we bonded right away. They also love their dog Tippy so much that Jon proposed in Sonoma CA in the couple's cottage by incorporating a picture of her with her paw on the ring box.

John and Kaitlyn met me through another one of my couples, Ashley and Mike. Not only were they at that wedding but they also lived in Ashley's and Mike's Boston apartment when I first met them for their stunning practice session. They were both super nervous to be photographed, but I thought they did a great job, and I knew they would be rockstars at their wedding.

First of all, the weather could NOT have been any better for a beach wedding, that's for sure. Since Jon and Kaitlyn got ready in rooms pretty much next to one another, my second shooter, Meg Belanger, and I went back and forth and took turns shooting for a different perspective.

They decided not to do a first look because they are more on the traditional side, so we headed to the beach for a beautiful ceremony—complete with the couple being showered in bubbles for the recessional.

After lots of formals on the beach, it was time to party. Kaitlyn and Jon opted for a band, and I have to say, that Clockwork Boston really delivered. The floor was packed from start to finish!

Everything about this couple makes me smile—we just connected right from the start. We kept in close touch all through and up to their wedding . . . and even after. Jon even sold me his laptop for my son, who is on the spectrum, which was beyond sweet. (I sent him a video of my kid opening it and jumping up and down.)

They will forever be in my life; like all my couples are. We even texted when they were stuck with travel issues on the way to their honeymoon. It was like we didn't want to stop hanging out! So, Jon and Kaitlyn, where is our next dinner going to be? We need to hang pronto.
